MAFCA Fall 2023 Elections

Elections for the offices of President, Vice President, and Trustee were held at the joint MAFCA/NMJOA Fall Conference at Bayshore Resort in Traverse City.

Congratulations to President-elect Rhonda Ihm, Vice President-elect Debby Shaw, and Elvin Gonzalez, who was elected to serve another two-year term as trustee! The new two-year terms begin on January 1, 2024. Thank you to Rhonda, Debby, and Elvin for your willingness to serve!

Thank you also to Scott LeRoy, who has served on numerous work groups and committees and has provided assistance to MAFCA members on numerous occasions. Scott’s dedication to courts and juvenile justice, his expertise, and his sense of humor have all been valuable additions to the MAFCA Executive Team.

Finally, thank you to Thom Lattig, who has served tirelessly as MAFCA’s president through the Juvenile Justice Reform effort in Michigan. Thom has fostered good working relationships with stakeholders, he communicates well with the Executive Team and the MAFCA membership, and he has kept his heart for youth. Thank you Thom!
