Ines Straube elected Michigan Court Administrators Association Court Administrator of the Year!

MAFCA’s own Ines Straube has been elected the 2023 MCAA Court Administrator of the Year! Ines has been employed in Barry County Courts since 2001. She has served as court recorder, financial specialist, probate register, and deputy court administrator. In 2014, she was appointed as the Barry County Friend of the Court and Trial Court Administrator. She oversees the district, probate, friend of the court, and specialty court offices in the Barry County unified trial court system. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that the Barry County Trial Court is a high-performing court by maintaining a good relationship with the Barry County funding unit, supporting the Barry County judges and staff in times of transition, promoting best practices in adult treatment court and juvenile justice programming, and hiring and training quality court staff. Ms. Straube has a unique skill set due to both the number of positions she has held in the court system and the amount of time she has spent working as a court employee. She began her professional career in an entry-level court position and made her way to the top of the ladder as a Trial Court Administrator in 13 short years. Ines currently serves as co-chair of the Workforce of Today and Tomorrow workgroup for the Michigan Judicial Council.

Ines, congratulations for earning the distinguished MCAA Trial Court Administrator of the year!
